Le Regioni italiane e il sostegno all’audiovisivo

This article examines regional intervention in support of the audiovisual sector in Italy. It focuses on two main policy instruments: Film Commissions, which facilitate production by providing services and promoting institutional coordination, and Film Funds, which award grants often conditional on eligible expenditure within the region. Together, these measures seek to attract audiovisual projects and foster local development, and have contributed to a wider geographical distribution of production activity across Italy. However, regional intervention remains highly heterogeneous and only partially coordinated with national policy, while the uneven availability and quality of impact assessments make its overall effects difficult to assess.
